At first, I really fucking hated this trailer, and I still maybe do. We're getting it at the Balboa soon, and so we've had it on both of our movies for a few weeks now, even when it hasn't even made sense to, like having it play before Superbad. Which means I've seen this fucking trailer now like nearly 100 fucking times. But instead of getting sick of it, I've actually started to see the charm in it's over-the-top retardedness. The absurd acting has me constantly awaiting some narration or text across the screen to proudly declare "Cate Blanchett, in her most ridiculous performance since Notes on a Scandal." Her undecipherable line about having a hurricane inside her only gets more and more hilarious every time I'm forced to hear it, as does her line about bringing the "armies of hell", and I'm also fond of the random shot of her getting naked and that shudder she does. I didn't see the first Elizabeth and I have no intention of seeing this one either, but I have to give it some credit for having a trailer that's really kind of amazing.
